The Most Famous and Expensive Pearl In The World (soft-skill)

I was looking at a beautiful rings inside the internet for a while, and one of them used pearls to be the object, it was amazing. So i wonder what would be the most famous and expensive pearl in this world. to leave out my curiosity, I decided to search this information on the Internet and make it as my ninth soft-skill writing assignment. enjoy......

1.Pearl of ALLAH or Lao-Tze Pearl


This pearl doesn't look like any other pearl that we usually see in any of jewelries or any types of accessories. This pearl doesn't have a good shape like any other pearl. but this is what makes this pearl unique and expensive. 

Pearl of Allah (formally known as the Pearl of Lao-Tze) is the world's largest pearl was found in 1934 off the coast of the island of Palawan by a Filipino diver. Pearls are used as gifts to Wilbur Dowell Cobb by the chiefs in Palawan in 1936  because Cobb had saved his life. Cobb descendants  sold the pearl to a jewelry store in California in 1980 at a price of 200,000 U.S. dollars. Current prices estimated at 40 million U.S. dollars.This giant pearl found inside the giant clam Tridacna gigas. Things could not be produced by pearl oysters from Family Pteriidae or pearl that produced oysters from other types. the shape of Pearl of Allah is irregular (baroque) and resemble just like a large Brain. Which reached 23.8 cm long and weighs 6.4 pounds that makes it the largest pearl found so far.

2.La Peregrina


This pearl is in a good shape, and of course it looks beautiful. no wonder it was expensive. La Peregrina or the rover (the traveler) is a pearl found in the Perlas Islands, off the coast of Panama in the 1500s. That said, the pearl was discovered by a slave who wants freedom as payment of the discovery of this pearls. This pearl was brought and handed over to the Spanish King Phillip II and the King presented him to Queen Mary, as a wedding gift. Brother of Napoleon I, Joseph Bonaparte took this pearl and took this pearl to France and finally handed over this pearl to the Duke of Abercrombie. Finally, the pearl was purchased at a price of 37 thousand U.S. dollars by Richard Burton and present it as a Valentine's Day gift to Elizabeth Taylor. The uniqueness of this pearl, is about the trip or journey that has been so long, it has a shape such as tears or a pear, and weighs 10,192 grams. 

3.Big Pink Pearl


A large pink colored pearl is worth 4.7 million U.S. dollars in 1991. It recorded in the Guinness Book of as the largest pearl found from abalone (Haliotis). Baroque-shaped and have an equivalent weight of 470 carat 94 grams. Pearl is owned by Wesley Rankin who discovered it in Salt Point State Park, California in 1990.

4.Abernathy Pearl


Natural pearls from freshwater was discovered by William Abernathyl, the divers in the river Tay in 1967. With a weight of 44 grains, pearls are considered the most perfect pearls are found from the rivers in Scotland. Pearl is named "the little willie".
